Ian Rapoport reports that the Saints are selling DB Chauncey Garrison-Johnson to Eagles.

Gardner-Johnson had made some noise earlier this offseason about his contract and Rapoport claims that talks broke down which was the impetus to the trade.

Philadelphia was quite weak in safety so they have a starting player.

Gardner-Johnson is 24, a former fourth round pick of the Saints in 2019. He was drafted out of Florida. He is currently in the last year of his rookie contract, and will make a base salary at $2.54million.

Gardner-Johnson played in 12 Saints games in 2021. He recorded 46 total tackles as well as two sacks, three interceptions, and seven pass deflections.
