To ensure that tribal children receive high-quality education for their overall development, GSTES, Gandhinagar has established 34 EMRS. In addition, GoG has taken the initiative to launch a few EMRS under a PPP model with renowned Trusts engaged in indigenous people’s education. These schools typically have ties to the Gujarat Education Board and offer instruction in either Gujarati or English. to promote a higher level of competition at the national level.
The application for EMRS Gujarat Admission 2023 will be made available in February 2023. The Gujarat Tribal Education Society, which only offers admission to grade 6, administers the EMRSET exam. Eklavya Model Residential Schools, or EMRS for short, are only for students from Scheduled Tribes. ST students have the chance to enrol in the Kendriya Vidyalayas, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas through EMRS. The candidates’ education not only prepares them for further professional education courses, but also for the jobs. Form for Admission to EMRS in 2023
Candidates taking the EMRS need to understand how to fill out an application.
Candidates must print out and download the EMRS Application form from the official website.
They now need to paste the photo on it and fill out the information.
One must be very careful when entering the information, and the letters must be visible. Hence, before continuing with the application process, candidates must verify that the information provided in the form is accurate.
Once the application form has been completed, it must be sent in at the location where the applicant will take the exam.
EMRS Admission 2023 Qualifications
Applicants who are willing to take the exam must meet the requirements in order to take the test. The admissions process is not open to all students. Applicants must fall under the category of Scheduled Tribes.
At the time of entrance, a person must be 13 years old.
Must have completed the fifth grade at a government-run, ashram-affiliated, or other approved school to qualify.

Facilities
From sixth grade through twelfth grade, education is free for tribal youth. As in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, all students receive free housing, boarding, uniforms, stationary, groceries, medical services, etc.
Infrastructure
According to the most recent advancements in education, schools now have modern technology like biometric attendance systems, computer labs with 24 hour access to the internet, libraries, science labs, playgrounds, hostels, and mess rooms, among other things.
Academic
Schools use both GCERT and NCERT curricula, with Gujarati or English as the primary languages of instruction. Learning is made more fun when technology is used in the teaching and learning process. These kids are being taught science by using using DIY (Do It Yourself) individual kits to instill a passion for science in them. All of the students at Muni Seva Ashram will receive such kits from ThinkLab (IIT) Mumbai so that they can internalise the lessons learned in theory classes.
Residence System
The House System is used in schools to help students develop leadership skills, a sense of belonging to the school, a competitive spirit, fair play, and cooperation. There are various Houses made up of all the students. These Houses compete in various academic, athletic, and cultural competitions, and at the conclusion of the academic year, the best house is given the “Best House Trophy.”
Clubs
Many clubs have been established to develop the hidden talents of the tribal children, including the Science/IT Club, Horticulture/Nursery, Dance/Drama, Photography, Mehndi/Rangoli, Nature, Social Work, etc.

Games & Sports
Yoga courses are offered at these schools along with regular sports and games to help the tribal youngsters develop their physical and mental wellness. Students from EMRS compete at the local, district, and state levels, excel at the state and national levels, and participate in significant sporting events like Khel Mahakumbh.

Information on the Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS)
In order to give ST children in rural areas access to opportunities in high-quality educational programmes and to secure employment in a variety of sectors, EMRS was founded in 1997–1998. The holistic development of the students is a priority for the schools in addition to academic instruction. There are 480 students allowed in each school, which serves students in grades VI through XII. Until now, the State Governments received grants under Article 275 (1) of the Constitution for the construction of schools and recurring expenses.
It has been decided that by the year 2022, every block with more than 50% ST population and at least 20,000 tribal members will have an EMRS in order to further support it. In addition to offering instruction in sports and skill development, Eklavya schools will be on par with Navodaya Vidyalaya and have special facilities for preserving local art and culture. According to census 2011 data, there are 564 of these sub-districts nationwide, and 102 of them have an EMRS. As a result, 462 additional schools must be opened by 2022.
