In complete disarray On Friday night, ASAP Rocky released a brand new track that sees him reunited sonically With Playboi Carti.
The track, tentatively called “Our Destiny,” fittingly stylized as “Our De$tiny,” was posted by way of an AWGE compilation clip that was posted to Rocky’s Instagram (above). At the time of posting, it’s not known whether there was a DSP rollout of the new track planned for.
Rocky and Carti, whose careers as their fans are aware are entwined in a fruitful way–have numerous past collaborations between them as well as the single from 2017 “New Choppa.” In an interview with Ross Scarano for Complex that same year, Carti talked about the ways that Rocky had inspired him at the beginning of his career, and a spark that eventually led to the two becoming friends.
“I met Rocky at this house party and it was crazy,” Carter told me when he was at that time when pondering the first time that he had a connection with Rocky in the year 2015. “He said he was a fuck with me Bro, and then he told me that he thought, I must be out there and get my swag. It was hot. There were plenty of little girls everywhere. It was life. The lifestyle I was looking for was in the house at that very moment.”
